Damien Woods
(Centre Half & Captain)
A proper centre half. Damo has been with the club for over 8 years now and has skippered the side to the Double in 2005 and all through the Cheshire League campaign.
A powerful player who shows great strength in the air, whilst technicaly very comfatable on the ball. A great organiser of the team who loves the banter. A true skipper, in every sense.
Nick Abson
(Centre Half & Vice-Captain)
Plays every game with his heart and soul. Still only 23 years old, Nico is well established at the heart of the Vics defence. His pace is an absolute asset, probably the quickest in the ranks. Reads the game well with a great engine and hunger for the game.
Split him down the middle and this boy reads 'Vics'.
Callum Reckless
(Goalkeeper)
Every team needs a keeper like Callum. A great shot stopper who is really confident coming off his line. He boasts safe hands and has an awesome record at stopping spot kicks.
Callum was another member of the Double winning side, who despite his early age, is an experienced member of the squad, and an invaluable one!
Paul Gregory
(Goalkeeper)
What a fantastic understudy for Callum. Greggs gives his all and more everytime he pulls on the Number 1 jersey. Had a long spell in the side at the end of last season, giving top notch performances in the run-in.
Greggs gives the Gaffa a selection dilema everytime he gets a run in the team, but remains as committed as ever, no matter what the decision.
Luke Heritage
(Full Back)
Firmly established 1st team Full Back. Luke posseses 2 great feet with a sublime 1st touch. His distribution has got better and better with each Cheshire League game.
A composed defender who plays football from defence, but has a real passion for Clean Sheets.
Once a cricketer, but not anymore, Luke is a proper Vics player now!
Steve Wright
(Full Back)
A great find for the club. A player who blends into any back 4 with ease. Calculated and cunning full back with a great burst of pace. Never gives less than 100% and delivers a superb ball into the box.
Can also mix it up in the middle of midfield, but another player who has laid his marker on a regular place. A consistently high performer.
James Cooke
(Midfielder)
A player blessed with the talent of controling the tempo of a game from start to finish. 'Cookey' is a natural footballer who has recovered well from a serious injury in 2006. Started the season strongly as a key playmaker in the Vics midfield.
Real strength is in linking the play between defence and attack, a great passer of the ball with a venomous like shot to boot.
Andy Marler
(Defender & Midfielder)
Andy is a highly rated and invaluable member of the 1st team squad. His form was superb in the run in last season playing at full back. However his strength lies through the spine of the team. A commanding Centre half who takes no hostages in the tackle, positional play is excellent which allows him to double up as a powerful Central Midfielder. Strong in the air with a great delivery whether that be a short or long ball.
Mike Parker
(Defender & Midfielder)
This lad is a superb example of how a Midfielder should play football. Plays with a smile on his face but that does not deter him to win that crunching tackle. When he drives forward with the ball it is with menacing speed. A good passer of the ball who is strong in the air.
They say great players can play anywhere, well Mike .P. can, an excellent Centre Half and Full Back. No doubt, a Vics Legend in the making!
Matty Jones
(Defender & Midfielder)
Matt is in his 1st season with the club and arrives with a fine pedigree of Clubs behind him. Early signs indicate Matt is a powerful and technically very strong Full Back / Midfielder with a sweet right foot. Comfatable on the ball when in possesion whilst strong in the air.
The club hold high hopes for this lad, he is going to make a real impact, real soon!
Daz Richards
(Defender & Midfielder)
Dazza has been with the club for 5 seasons now, and is a popular member of the squad. Posseses the sweetest left foot you have ever seen. Though he started out as a combative Central Midfielder, Daz has also mastered the art of Defending, and is a mean Left Back too.
A powerful striker of the ball who anchors the Midfield with a passion, Daz holds a great range of passing, rarely not finding his man.
Andy Clacher
(Midfielder)
Literally the heartbeat of the side. Clach has an unbeleivable engine and enthuasism for the game. Never falls short of 100% commitment for the club, the Number 8 is a vital component in the Vics Midfield with his free flowing style.
Fantastic player probing forward but is also dominant in the air with a highly impressive goal ratio from the middle of the park. A gem!
Dan Haralambous
(Midfielder & Forward)
Now this boy is a serious player. Technicaly one of the best to don the Blue and Black stripes. Two great feet with burning pace makes Dan a real asset to the side.
Tricks up both sleeves, 'Samba' makes a mess out of most Full Backs, delivery from wide positions is pinpoint, whilst he holds a rocket of a shot.
Quite simply, a sublime footballer who loves the Vics!
Eddie Pattinson
(Midfielder)
There is not a more passionate and dedicated player than Eddie Patt. Lives and breathes his football. An attack minded Midfielder with bundles of energy, holds a great first touch and a superb delivery of the ball.
Always gives his all, week in, week out, whilst only ever scoring spectacular goals. Edd is never happy, unless he's on the ball!
Alex Rowntree
(Midfielder)
This boy lives his life to tackle!
A powerful holding Midfielder who strokes the ball around the park, with both feet using minimum fuss. Is a Centre halfs dream as he protects the back line, allowing the team to attack from all corners. A no nonesense outlook to the game who holds a great first touch and sound ditribution. Taken the role onto a completely new level.
Henry Buckley
(Forward)
'H' was ruled out with a serious knee injury for close on 2 seasons, but his recovery and comeback has been nothing short of dramatic. A striker with more pace than he knows what to do with, combining strength and workrate to become a Defenders absolute nightmare. Potent infront of goal, 'H' is more than capable of scoring goals from anywhere inside the box! This boy churns out 'Goals for Fun'!
Alex Moore
(Midfielder & Forward)
Vics player of the year in succesive seasons. 'Big Al' has been a major success since joining the club. Whether banging in goals when upfront, or dominating from the Midfield, this Lad gives Heart & Soul to the cause.
Every manager in Mid-Cheshire would love an Al Moore in there team, his work rate and enthuasism for the game and the Club, knows no boundries! At All!!!
Alley Taylor
(Midfielder & Forward)
'Tay 17' has made massive strides over the past couple of seasons. A Pacy and tricky wide player who owns a wand of a left foot.
Undoubtedly the Vics most improved player this season, a silky 1st touch combined with a good burst of speed with exceptional delivery to the front men.
He maybe good, but the best of 'Tay', we are yet to see!
Jonny Haslam
(Forward)
Jonny has exceptional talent as a frontman, but injuries have blighted him in recent seasons. A direct Forward with blistering pace, Jonny is probably the coolest finsher at the club and boasts an impressive goals ratio too. Making him a real asset.
An intellegant footballer with an impeccable attitude toward the game.
